Chew-chew train

This tshirt came from the group mentioned in the post about how to improve you chances of getting printed with Threadless.  I have to thank a friend, Briony, for posting the idea.  Fairly simple and self explanatory really.  As to the making - I used a stock image, used the posterise effect in photoshop.  Took that into illustrator in order to use it as a clear base to create the vector art over, this included the bubbles and 'chew-chew' phrase.  Once that was traced I took the vectors back into photoshop and played about with combining the two train images.  After settling on a funky effect I played with the colours so as only to have dark red, pink, light blue and white.  Finally I went round the image in detail cleaning up any messy bits by hand.  And tada! One of my favourite illustrations.
